Morning, indeed Ferret I was out the door. Fastest 5 miles :-) and would have been even slightly faster of I hadn't stopped to take a photo for the treasure hunt ;-)

You're on fire, LG!

I could go for a run or I could tidy the house this morning. Hmmm :-)

Back to the seaside this afternoon :-)

Morning :)

Nice running everyone.

I had a lovely walk in the hills with ferret yesterday, the weather was perfect for it but not so good for taking pics of the views. :)

I must get out for a run this morning.

Morning all. Last day today.

We're in a land of ice and fire. No song. Maybe a wall, if Trump decides that Canadians are a threat.
We've got a quick final rush for a drive by of two more mountains. Mount Rainier and Mount St Helens.
Mainly a drive and a look, too snowy and not enough time to do them justice.

Mount Rainier sounds a bit of a slow burner, 14,400ft, last erupted 1820 – 1854, with bits of smoke and false alarms every now and then since.

But as it has a high probability of eruption in the near future, it’s considered one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world

Mount St Helena - Only 8.400ft, because it blew it’s top in 1980.

Mount St Helens on the left, Mount Rainier to the right and north.

Mount St Helens when it’s angry (1980), and 2 years later. Showing the side wall blow out and the crater.

Mount Rainier

And then back to Portland to fil the car with gas, give it back to Avis and to catch the big bus back to LHR. The real plane, if any of this was real, is a 777, but I don’t have a pic of that. So here’s a 747 I flew on earlier.
Eagle eyed readers may spot it’s not Portland either. I don’t know what Portland looks like, I’ve never been there. But I know this airport only too well.

Hope you enjoyed the holiday I booked and nearly had.

But we will have to try and do it for real at the same time next year. If BA have a sale, and covid allows it.

We may need to spend more time in the lakes and mountains, judging on what I’ve seen planning and capturing this.

And we’re quite flush now, with 2 months of credit card bills in credit with the returned deposits & payments from this saga. And not paying for the rest of the holiday / accommodation / meals etc.

Now I’d better get back to focus on those 700 miles …
