Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Thanks guys.

Tomorrow I'll start the next from my stash. It's, er um another Tiger 1! I'll explain why and what I'm doing as we go.

You'd think I've had enough!

Soooo as it says on the box it's the early version, unlike the other two which are late, while the kit is very similar to the Revell the plastic feels slightly different and seems to take paint better. The early Tiger had a rubber rim on the road wheels, so I'm having to paint that on before assembling the wheels (9x3 per side) but at least I've got the confidence to do stuff like assemble the rear plate while stuff is drying.

It's got the same track system, but I've an idea of what I'm doing now so fingers crossed.

Used my airbrush for the first time today, liked it a lot need a bit more experience before using it on bigger stuff.

That’s a professional looking set up bud.

I use Mr Hobby primer from Japan. It’s lovely. I also use Halford’s grey car primer.

I’m experimenting with an AK chipping solution on my current build. I’ll keep you posted as I’ve not used it before.

Thanks, it took me a while to get my head round being able to glue them up and then bending to shape, I'm not used to glue that works 😂

😂 Tamiya fine liquid glue is well…..mighty fine for bending tracks etc !!

I’ve done a load of prep work on my semi track with a chipping solution. I’ll start weathering next week. Busy with training, swim, bike, run this weekend

And a new car

I can't believe that we've got Crafts, Gardening, Computer Games, but not model cars, trains...!

Just don't call them toys!

My particular hobby was 1/10th scale radio controlled car racing. I'm now looking to get into radio controlled planes. We have some Airfix model builders in here and Lego builders too. Any type of model vehicles really! Planes, trains, automobiles... boats, helicopters, anything! Come join in! :-) G
