Thanks, because I messed up the tracks I've decided go to town on effects etc think you'll like it when done. I occurred to me that I should have slapped a bit of colour on the textured bit to look like a motor. Luckily I have another kit to have a go at straight away! |

Mosquito FB Mk VI 487 Squadron This aircraft took part in the Aarhus Raid on 31:10:44. The RAF took out one building, a Gestapo HQ in the centre of Denmark. This building held the records of hundreds of resistance groups obtained by the Germans through interrogation of captured resistance fighters. The RAF bombing destroyed the records and saved countless lives. Only 1 aircraft was lost having sustained damage from flak. |

Amazing model depicting a truly epic mission. I can't begin to comprehend how they managed that with no modern tech

Thank you Rich. I really enjoyed that build. That raid was also highly praised by the Germans. The chap who designed the raid actually flew on it too. They were very brave lads who flew at roof top, launching bombs with precision by eye sight 😳

Superb model Will, that is a great tribute to the pilots of 487 squadron. There is a film on Netflix, The Bombardment, about the Aarhus raid you might enjoy. The pilots had to cross 200 miles of sea at low level in low visibility due to sea spray and rain. Remarkable! |

I'm liking it already, looks like you're having fun inflicting battle damage. Looking very battle weary just as it should.

Progress on the Tiger. First thing to note, this kit is a lot more complex than the Airfix version I did, but that one gave me the confidence to go off piste with builds. Base coat on. Next job is the camouflage layers then go silly with the effects. |
