Northern Exile Aug 2021 10:31am, 6 Aug 2021 7,823 posts	0 Northern Exile Ros - I've just had a flick through the book and it appears that it was initially built as a gamekeeper's lodge by Lord Egremont, he owned nearly everything in the vicinity at the time. He was certainly a wealthy landowner!

That was something else that I wanted to do, can't remember the route but it's a bit like the Castle Crag challenge they do from Borrowdale YHA - do it whenever you like and your name gets added to the list.
