My mother had a cat she used to take for walks on a lead. In Regents Park. (That's London, in case there are other Regents Parks). It was half Siamese, so a bit more dog-like than most cats.

Years ago, when I worked in a bar, a well known journalist on the local paper would be seen walking his cat around the city. He used to call in for a whisky or three, minus cat.
Last year, late in the evening, I met a young couple walking two Bengal cats on leads. We had a pleasant chat, while one cat sat on the lad's shoulders and the other chewed grass.

We also survived the drive home from Preston to Aberdeen this morning - definitely was not mundane 😯
