57.5 Degrees of Pain
One big boggy loop from Corrour Station would be an interesting challenge Duchess! Thanks for the research Dvorak. The few runners who I know, or can see on Fetch, all seemed to be well off their best times, but it might well depend on the wind etc. At least the field looked large enough last year not to get too lonely. |

I ran Rannoch last year, but ran it is a training run two weeks before my main marathon of the Autumn and so I was deliberately nowhere near A PB run. I don't think it would be a traditional PB race anyway as there are undulating elements with a couple of steepish climbs, plus it is a reasonably small field and so you lose some of the element of others around you pushing you on. The wind definitely hit you in parts last year. All that said though, I loved it. It was a really good race, well organised and a beautiful course. |

57.5 Degrees of Pain
Thanks RicC! I think I'll go for it. Unless this training block goes really well I will be nowhere near PB shape, though I did run the current PB at Lochaber where the field was pretty thin at the front.

Toiled today at Montrose, nice and flat, but you've to watch your footing on the various surfaces.

You have indeed, the core team mark the major ones but there are lots of others. Also if they mark them at 9:00, the rabbits might have dug a new one by 9:30, little buggers
