Flat marathons are over-rated, Mr White :-)

Yes, Columba...he ran the whole race like that.
He did wear his heart rate monitor though :-)

My 30 miler is £35 which I think is reasonable but some of the costs for 10Ks and half marathons are as dumb as dumb and dumber being really dumb. Or something.

My long run wasn't particularly easy due to ice, snow and mud but I was really enjoying it in a strange way so I carried on until I'd done a half marathon. I've just eaten a pizza.

There are two half marathons in Cardiff this year - no prices yet for the normal one in October but the IAAF one is £54.

Glad to see Mankini man had put a hat on by the time he go to the bog!

I know it's a lot Bint, but they do organise things very well and the goodies are excellent.
(and I need a running partner :-) )

About This Thread

Maintained by iRan
Welcome to the 700 miles in 2016 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

bunting and 700er medals are often spotted around here.

Happy running :-)
