Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

That's a good thought but I doubt it will happen.

It’s all just a holding position for now. 1922 will hatch something. But it probably won’t be overnight, which is worrying.

I know it's hard to believe but he's nuttier than Johnson.

Ditto Patel.

Anyone read any of the European papers (Raemond perhaps?) - any Schadenfreude there? Or all very dignified and waiting to see? G Little from column A (OK, quite a lot), little from column B. Oppos have remarked that they're finding the whole thing gripping, one described it as amazing. Nice bit of light relief before the summer shut down, really.

I couldn't pick a single one of them out as a preferential option to be fair. Even if Rory Stewart was a potential, I'd still have serious reservations.

Fozzy, I agree on Raab, however there needs to be something practical. They couldnt just chuck in someone random who may be a candidate as it could give them an advantage. Maybe check Raab isnt standing, get him in as caretaker. If Raab is, then look for someone who isnt standing from a senior ish cabinet role and ask them to take care

Fozzy, I agree on Raab too. He is even crazier but appears reasonable. Very dangerous combination.

Whoever goes in as caretaker is barred from standing - that would be a good check and balance Bazo. Sensible. Therefore I doubt it would happen!

Britain is in a mess for 6 months plus. Sh*t. :-) G

Raemond - Things Can Only Get Better? Wasn't that the Labour theme tune in the 1997 landslide. Trying to say something?! Would that it were so! :-) G
