A quick google reveals that 'Syd' has been a bodybuilding champion (over 40's) in his post cricket career:
Not many cricketers look like this a decade after stopping playing....

He also claims the toughest thing he's ever done involved being talked at by Graham Gooch. Sounds reasonable.

Napier did it more than once - check out his county championship innings against Surrey. I think it was at Whitgift School.
Quite handy with the ball too. Didn't he do a 7-fer in a limited overs match and a 4 in 4? Or am I mistaken?

Napier's always willing to put in a shift - I'm a big fan - but his England career didn't really happen. Shocking player profile pic on CricInfo btw.

I saw Syd in a nightclub in Bristol in the late '90s - he looked very powerful then, even before taking up the bodybuilding.

Surprised Gatting never took up bodybuilding after his cricket career. I guess the eating 8,000 calories a day bit he had nailed, but probably found the going down the gym to pick heavy things up and put them down again bit too hard....
A 'bit of a bloater' XI?
Brandes, Gatting, Jimmy Ormond, sure there was a mahoosive Bangladeshi ODI player as well?

Inzy and Jesse Ryder. The two players that make T20 worth watching.
