Why would you wash strawberries you’ve grown yourself? Unless a bird shat on them, but then I’d probably just not eat them.

Home (Surrey one), it is Officially Fucking Hot here. Much hotter than the IoW version. Watered my patio plants, now to gird loins and water the allotment.

Went to sit in the sun to try and even out my runner's tan - way too hot and retreated indoors!

Just as well LG :-)

A little wren is hopping around me and eating all the ants it can find. See, seagulls, some birds do good work in the garden instead of just crapping everywhere.

We teach the children that anything they pick from the school garden (and by extrapolation at home) has to be washed. Partly so that someone can check that they have picked the right thing and it is safe. We haven't missed any weeds yet that have fruited with dodgy things but you never know.

I’d have washed them too in case any wee beasties LG.

Went to the stretch class. Back to fighting to stay awake.

Washing ruins soft fruit, I’ve eaten kilos and kilos of it this summer with no ill effects! Half the stuff I’ve picked would have been too ripe to wash anyway.
Watered the allotment, ate some raspberries (last few left) and tayberries (they are amazing this year!) and then had a cool shower.
White wine, going to roast some veg and halloumi as there is no other food in the house.

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
