After yesterday's advice over behaviour, the new routines have begun today. A change in routine makes for tired dogs. 3 walks have helped, but the slight tweak on what we do has had a massive effect. Before 20:00 and dogs crashed out.

Stuff that we knew already tbh. They aren't allowed upstairs. Toys aren't left lying about, they are given by us and taken away when we want. No getting on furniture. A few tips on removing from furniture and banned places without interacting with them. They had become dominant, he's showed us how to stop the traits they picked up.

Basically they are our dogs in our house eating our food and playing with our things. They are at the bottom of the pack, treat them like that. Which isn't to say we don't play with, treat or reward them. We just do it differently to how we had been doing it.

How do you get them to go downstairs without interacting with them. We have had a stairgate until very recently when we decided that Wanda does *know* she isn't allowed upstairs so we can take the stairgate away (after 2 years!) Now she creeps up the stairs ever so quietly when she thinks she can get away with it. She is more than aware that I don't allow this.... but if I am out and J is upstairs in the study she will tiptoe up to see him
