I was musing on the fact that certain dogs I meet are particularly friendly by nature.
Top 3 for me:
Cavalier King Charles.
Borders.
Wire-haired Vizsla.
Without fail, every Cav I've met so far has come up for a snuggle.
My favourite breed is actually German short-haired pointer. Neither particularly friendly or unfriendly I've found - due to their working nature I guess.

Hello....
I see you've already met Rupert. He's a Maltese/poodle. We've been considering a dog for months and had settled on a cocker spaniel but unfortunately when we went to view it set MrAtC's allergies off. He's spent the last few weeks asking random strangers if he could please sniff their dog. He seems to be OK with the poodle crosses (non moulting) so here we are.
Rupert is very fluffy and cuddly, like a teddy - hence the name. He's very small and can't get up steps so is being carried a bit at the moment, but rest assured he'll be out on his own legs once he's big enough.

Incidentally, he's Rupert today. This might yet change. We only got him on Monday and so far he's been Dexter, Charlie, Ziggy, Henry and now Rupert. I know something will stick soon. To his face he's just Boy.
