5 mile run for Stella the Labrador this morning. As usual, her pacing was atrocious (sets off way too fast, and lags behind me got the last mile).

Funnily enough I sent the photo to Doric's human mum and she said exactly the same ;)

Love the tired dogs! We have been to a new class this morning which was a precursor / getting to know you session before starting our KC Silver Award next week. Quite an interesting variety of dogs and owners!!! We played a scenting game at the end, Indi barked at the other dogs when it was their turn to find and they couldn't; "It under the third one" lol

Lovely doggy photos.

Ernie accompanied us to a Canoe Club Family Fun day. He enjoyed swimming in the Loch for his ball. He took a break in the car whilst I paddled and then had to be put on the lead to prevent any sausage related incidents. When I went out to test a kayak he swam out after me. He might need a buoyancy aid for future trips.

Bless Ernie, maybe his own canoe or a paddle board? :)

The (dilute) hydrogen peroxide bottle is in my emergency cupboard waiting for the quarter to midnight moment - it has happened before and I chose to wait and see. So far it hasn't been necessary (and I use that word very carefully).

But fish? Jet steals carp heads that the illegal anglers leave on the side of the lake. I don't like it, and he stinks afterwards, but I doubt it does him any harm.

Love the tired dogs ;-)

I saw an Indi look-a-like again to day. It's been at a couple of shows and is really rather gorgeous. It seems quite friendly but I haven't introduced us.

We watched a scentwork demonstration today and I've started the first part with Jet as another way to make him work. We're using cloves as the key scent. I think we can also get clove oil which will help with the 'hiding'.

Jet had a good day at agility today - he's now tired too, but has worked out that Mr will be home in about ten minutes (how do they know?) and is waiting at the door.

We met the most gorgeous Jess-alike this morning. Her owner was so pleased that I wasn't scared and Ralph wasn't dragged off in the opposite direction in haste. Not so sure the owner was as pleased with how muddy she was after their charge around the onion field though!
