Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Finished on 71%. Never managed to improve. Thompson's Gazelle. Fair enough. :-) G

Sigh
Has anyone else seen their race standards revised? This was mine back on 9th March:

...and here's the same today:

It's not a change because of my birthday as that's February, plus that would mean they went up not down - plus, previous years (2017-2019) have also been revised.

I have sent feedback to Fetch, but thought I'd post here too in case anyone has a clue.

There are set baseline 'factors' from which WAVA values are calculated and these are continually under review by the World Masters Athletic Association, with updated tables released occasionally.

ISTR that the figures/bands on FE have been derived from the 2012 tables which have since been superseded. The change may be due to Lord Fetch implementing the newer tables behind the scenes.

Ahh okay, thanks Weath. Just surprised that they've been backdated. I'll let you know the feedback.

Boooooo!! Naughty Lord Fetch, I've had nice figures stolen! I was fearful he'd do this some day. Would prefer to live with the old tables still living on, even if WMA tables have been out and updated since 2015.

I know. I had 62% in 2018 that’s just gone down to 60. 2019 unchanged, haven’t checked the others as I don’t have a screenshot.

Yep, I’ve updated our calculator to use the 2015 data. Every time you see a drop in your age grading scores, just remember it’s because veteran athletes are still pushing back the boundaries of possibility. You can too.

To make it up to you, I was going to open up the standards so that runs from your training log will count. And on Badge Day, I am planning to make badges for each of the animals in the scale.
