Fragile Do Not Bend
A pair of mallards are on our pond again. I hope they stick around this time.

GSW on the Rec on my way to worm this morning, and robin sex in the garden this lunch time
Flying but not feathered, lots of bats hunting over the river at sunset. And neither flying nor feathered but worthy of a mention nevertheless - not one but two badger sightings on my run this evening

The early bird catches the worm, Kinky? Nice badgeriness.
Now, if you were up a tree at the time, DaveA, I'd be impressed ;-).

After hearing the Chiffchaff at the weekend, I've been listening out for them locally. I heard them st Brandon Marsh nature reserve on Saturday, which is near where I live. I also heard them on a trip to the Malvern on Sunday. Two were heard shouting at separate locations on my nearby dog walking area earlier 😀
Now just for swallows and swifts to return.

First Blackcap singing this morning along the trail where I run. Chiffs at many localities along the river trails here in Cardiff.

Glorious view of a barn owl as it swept over my head on last night's run, then drifted on seemingly oblivious to me.
Everything* seems to be building nests in the garden this morning. That bush will soon be as cramped as a 70s high rise.
* possibly a slight exaggeration. Robins, blackbirds, blue tits and magpies.

I've seen some house martins flying around the last couple of days so they're on their way north. (I'm currently in Austria) I saw a flock of Alpine choughs in the car park this morning, strange that they were down from the mountain as the weather was so nice.
