I saw a nice wagtail at Cambridge station today. For some reason they are nearly always there. Flanker, it sounds like your garden is the bird equivalent of the Kingsway flats. |

and that's a comment you can take many ways. However I'll disagree - I think our residents have a higher IQ, more social skills and better hygiene. |

Loads out and about in the last few days, either walking on the seafront or along the river). Standouts fro mr has to be today though, stonechat pair very lively along the seafront in Towyn and closely followed by a wheatear. The stonechats are fairly regular along there, but great to have a prolonged view of them, but to the best of my recollection, I've never seen a wheatear locally before.

Cetti's, Chiffchaffs, Goldcrest, Reed Bunting, Cormorant (7), Great Crested Grebe (6) this morning. Hd meant to count and remember as many species as I could today but the wind kind of spoiled the chances of seeing many. House Martins! Nice "taster" of what's to come alpen rose. Willow Warblers can't be far away..... |

Derby Tup
A group of eight Whooper swan have been reported on our local reservoir today. The main A65 Ilkley to Skipton road is a death trap for drive-by birders and I suspect we saw them earlier too without knowing
