um
Good call DT, thanks. Other sightings? A flock of lapwings (30-40 ish) few over us on the way home. Buzzard in a tree by the side of the road. It flew off before we could get the camera from the back seat. And in the afternoon, a red kite. All pictures fuzzy and blurred. (camera was on deer settings, not birds, and no time to change)

A couple that I saw were between Huby and North Rigton so only a few miles north-east of Otley then again a bit further towards the A1.

Gutted I didn't spot any lambs as I passed Bolton Abbey today!

Sportif today YP? Don’t think I’ve ever seen so many cyclists in the dale
The lambs are on the left on the gated road heading toward Skipton

DT: It was the Otley CC Reliability Ride up to Kettlewell and back. There are 10 of them across Jan-Mar, but most head more toward the East, with only this one heading up the dale. About 200 riders on that (including several local pros), plus anyone else enjoying the sun.

I'm pretty sure I spotted a red kite in the New Forest yesterday, very rare to see them this far south yet. It may have been the same one that um saw later.
