A book I found very interesting along these lines is "Determined' by Ben Sapolsky in which he argues convincingly (IMO) that there is no such thing as free will. In. |

Well said Linds! I must say, personally I didn't struggle too much with the decision to stop drinking. However, guilt in other areas of my life is still an issue, even though I can see the truth that it's not my fault. |

Yes definitely, it's a journey for sure. As with sobriety, in other areas of our lives we can be surrounded by people with unhealthy attitudes and opinions which are seen as the norm. It's difficult being part of a minority in that sense, since we can't take comfort from a herd mentality.

@Tav H I feel that the collective consciousness is so toxic right now that it is really hard to not get caught up in the energy. I am working really hard at this. I believe it is my life's purpose, my service and I just ask myself when triggered or vulnerable whether what caused those feelings are real and if it is not based in love, connection and the present moment then I believe it is just a construct of the mind bought about by the human condition so I can try to understand it and let it go. Is not easy but us humans are deeply flawed which is a huge part of what makes us so beautiful. You are all love, ultimately there is nothing else ❤️ |
