Impressive going Chris.
Chickened out of my designated MP test, weather wasn't encouraging and I only did my previous hard session on Friday. May fit it in during the week instead of the planned threshold session, but there are 3 long MP runs in the plan so not too concerned about missing one of them.
Another 10k race next weekend but hilly course (Blackburn) so not a PB attempt.

That sounds really good Chris.
I wish I could run MP in training.
No run for me today as I had a tooth extracted yesterday. I've been building the mileage since having the steroid injection three weeks ago so a cutback week is probably a good idea especially as both knees are still niggly but London seems to be coming round very quickly. I don't think sub 2.55 is going to be doable but I would really like another sub 3 at least - I may not feel obliged to run another marathon this year if i managed that.

I find it very hard to run marathon paced longer sessions in training. Never have been able to do but it comes right on the night.
Nice long run today with Phoenix running. Half the course muddy fun the other hard canal paths making shoe choice fun.

Cheers @Chris, yeah no real pace targets for London. Will be an achievement if I get to the start feeling that I'm ready to run it and give it (some) effort.
Saying that I managed 45 miles without any concerns last week including a couple of runs with my eldest daughter (10). She's caught the running bug a bit and is going out for a few runs a week with either me or my wife. She seems to particularly enjoy a few relaxed strides (30 secs on/off) within a run. I'm very careful about her pushing herself so let her set the pace, but can't help admiring how she's progressing and her form is pretty exemplary. These 3/4/5 milers at 9-10 m/mile average are perfect for adding a bit of easy mileage as well so all good

I rarely manage even one mile at MP outside of a race Keith.
That all sounds positive Brunski. Lovely that your daughter is keen too.

Gobi, how did you find pacing at Farnborough yesterday? I ran there for the first time and managed a 1:19:27 for 3rd V50. Happy with that as it's pretty early in my training cycle for Manchester and I wasn't sure I could break 1:20 at this stage. Course was billed as flat but there were definitely enough undulations to make me have to focus on my own pacing.

Well done on sub 80
These are my splits, I know the area and have run various course as the 90 min pacer at Farnborough. It has drags on it but most give and take inside the same mile so as a rule I run a pretty flat pace. However it always come up long so I deliberately run a few seconds quicker. My theory is the balance of the pace stops people working too hard on the ups and they relax on the downs.
