It's basically the template for any that runs in mostly Nike shoes.

Yeah. I do that. Speedwork in ZF. Race in VF and general miles in my trusty ASICS.

I tend to mix my shoes. easy runs in pegasus turbos & ZFs, long easy runs in NB 1080s , workouts in VF and race in Next%

Have used ZF for most training runs lately. Very easy on my legs/feet
The soles tear up rapidly if I run on anything slightly gravelly, went straight through to the carbon plate in one pair in only a few weeks. Seems like once I've gone through the black covering they are soon destroyed even if I only run on roads from that point.

Impressive destruction, my shoe upper died and not the sole.
Are you heavy or a scuff the ground runner.
I must admit I stick to road in my mine as they are shit anywhere else

I've had 1000mls out of a pair of VFs. The last pair I retired had about 800 miles in them. They mostly get binned due to the upper coming away from the midsole in the same place, but I am not complaining about it, I get my monies worth doing all my speedwork in them and long runs that have efforts. I ran a mostly off road ultra a couple of weeks ago in my Next%s. Big mistake! I thought as the route was mostly hard packed trail and a little bit of tarmac that I would get away with it but I ended up on my arse a few times while climbing forestry roads!!
For me the longevitiy of the cushioning is their biggest appeal, but know that some people get a one to two hundred miles out of them. I also know of some people who say they can feel propulsion from them. I don't, so maybe running style comes into effect in terms of how much of an advantage they actually provide. My old bones, joints and tendons are pleased with the amount protection they get using these shoes and that is where I see the advantage. I just with Nike would bring out a trail shoe with the zoom X foam!!

Gobi, I think i've become a "scuff the ground" runner in the past few months which accounts for the damage in most of my shoes recently. probably need to get my gait looked at and correct it before the next training cycle or it'll be an expensive one.
