I want/need to implement a plan that I had in mind at the end of the summer to include interval and hill sessions on a modest level. I would the need a rest day somewhere, being old and having long COVID isn't helping me start the more intense training 😂.
Vixx 30 Jan 1:21pm, 30 Jan 2025 2,289 posts	0 Vixx steve45 - when I was marathon training I used to have two rest days where I would do a slow mile, at least a minute a mile slower than my usual pace. Then I would spend time doing some light strength and flexibility work. The one rest day was always the day after my longest run and the other after a hard, shorter session like hills/intervals.

However if you are fasting for any reason you still need to run!
