My first retired Christmas too. I would normally have been at work between Christmas and NY. This year we are doing not much, and are heading to friends tomorrow for a few days.

The dreaded return to work after Christmas is scarily close. Hopefully the last time I have to do it.

It's great not having to go back to work after holidays, but there are worse things in life

I’ve been very lucky with the past couple years. Last year I had started my job in February but they said they would honour booked holidays; I was straight in with Christmas and kids' October hols. This year my leave group has Christmas/New Year fortnight as timetabled leave, which only happens about once every 8 years or so and doesn’t always include both. Which means I’ve managed to postpone the post-Xmas return blues for at least one more year. Who knows, next year it might not matter…. 😁👍🏼 |

Sigh
Has anyone heard from @Roobarb ? Was due to retire 20.12. Not been on the site since 16.11. Bit worried, tbh. |

She's posted on FB quite a bit. Seems OK. And think has retired.
