I’m currently trying not to be concerned that my pension pot appears to be declining in value yet again… presumably world affairs related…?? It actually hasn’t grown at all since I transferred it over to the new provider earlier this year - so far I’m losing money rather than making it… ![]() |

One of my pensions is a SIPP which is largely invested in so-called stable funds including UK gilts. UK gilts have taken a hammering thanks to Liz Truss and her gibberish.

I feel that particular pain, JB, having put some of my S&S ISA into a gilt fund and a corporate bond fund two or three years ago because it's what's always advised for those of us who are close to retirement. As well as turning out to be spectacularly bad timing it was unnecessary because I've got my DB pension for stability. The ESG fund also hasn't turned out to be the brightest of decisions, but fortunately that's just a tiny amount. |

I had to take my manager to task today, my letter confirming my leaving date and balance of leave to be paid had me at 5 hours owing, no idea what was going on in his head, in the end I showed him my calculations of 66.5hours! He did confirm that I was correct in the end.

Have to make a list of what I do in my usual place of work to do my hand over. None of the girls have ever worked there and the boss has no clue about the building either. I will do it at the weekend as one of the girls will be over on Monday to be shown. I am also going to be ruthless with very old paperwork and stuff we no longer use.
