Zion is good, if busy ... LV - I could miss, always seems tacky Yosemite is fantastic - check the weather and see if chains and Yaktrax or similar 'traction devices' are needed. Or if it's still bright & sunny. |

I went to Yosemite once, on a coach tour. The coach broke down while we were there. They managed to get it fixed eventually so we could move on to our destination for the night.

I have never shopped at Icelands, went in our local one a few weeks ago as I had heard about the discount, awful shop, didn’t buy anything. As NHS I get 10% discount at Asda with my blue light card, I hope all you blue light workers know about the card?

I work within the blue light community, they changed the terms of the Asda deal a while ago so it’s not a straight 10% off anymore IIRC. I have found the discounts quite useful particularly when getting a new mobile contract. The Asda in my town is subject to a lot of controversy over the parking arrangements as it was previously free but now isn’t (it’s in the centre of town) it’s also the wrong end of town for me. |

Fields I don't know if you live in the same town as I do but same issues over parking in Asda car park here. I don't shop at Asda but the drama was full time entertainment on FB Spotted, not entertaining for those caught on the ANPR cameras. However, at the moment it's free parking in Asda as every one of the machines were smashed up one night, still not been repaired. |

Similar sort of tale - when Morrison's took over a.n.other supermarket locally a few years ago, they promptly re-marked the car park and put signs up with a 2 hour parking time limit. Huge public outcry. Then they found they didn't actually own the car park... 🤣🤣🤣 It's a public car park, on Council land. Created as a free to use car park as part of the original redevelopment, in the early 1980s. I think the supermarket does have to maintain it, though! (I'd be looking very hard at the contracts and legal team who missed that bit, if I were Morrisons!) They had to take down the signage and remove the restrictions. Although they have left all the additional disabled and parent & child spaces they painted in place. |
