I've forgotten if this is where I can slag off The Leopard. The final chapter was the only one worth reading, the rest was quite a rambling mess.

So to compensate, I'm reading an Eric Ambler I found on our shelves (it's great how decluttering is reminding me what a lot of good books we have that I could re-read instead of buying new.) You couldn't accuse Ambler of being rambling.
