Thank you all for the info, especially the web cam links, I had forgotten about those! I suggested Ben Vrackie to friends as I don't mind doing a Corbett and Pitlochry is always good for food afterwards. We did a few Corbetts this time last year because of the same situation. We don't want to walk on too much snow. Great suggestions guys 😀. Will have to keep a close eye on the weather and webcams.

Ben Vrackie had a light coating Saturday. I suspect the lovely weather today will have seen that off.

There were only a few patches of snow near the top of Ben Vrackie. Here's a pic of shanksi, RichieC and Molly the dog on the way up: And the Beinn a Ghlo mountains from the top: The wind was very cold on the way up, then we were too hot on the way down in the sun! Great to be back in the hills. |

If you have the time, and conditions OK, recommend making it into a circuit by going up Beinn Fhada first, then the A'Chioch ridge up Ben More - makes it a more interesting day than just straight up and doen the "tourist route"
