Posted this morning: yesterday's Knoydart update.
Hopefully the answer to that question is a simple, "12 days"

Today should be a bit easier after the initial 3, once onto the South Glen Shiel ridge then an "easy 7", then a wee bit of a sting in the tail with SnS and the Saddle.
Then just 2 planned tomorrow - Beinn Sgritheall cycle to Skye then Blaven, and hopefully a decent enough day to do the ridge on Monday.
Anyone know anything about the apparent "re-naming" by Ordnance Survey of Loch Quoich ? The on-line map ( which I assume is the latest ) is showing it as Loch Cuaich when in OS map, all the other map options show Loch Quoich, and the OS used to have it as Quoich. Maybe they're reverting to old Gaelic names rather than anglicised ones ??

Gratuitous picture of Loch Quoich/Cuaich, looking NE from the 850m bealach between Sgurr na Ciche and Garbh Chioch Mhor

Gus I wondered about that last year but I think it's as you suggest OS moving to using the Gaelic spelling but they aren't consistent. If you look it's Loch Cuaich but Glenquoich on the same bit of map!

They agreed a Gaelic policy with various bodies in Scotland a few years ago - with the aim of moving to standard Gaelic orthography, giving equal prominence to both languages and trying to use the same name across all OS products. It's a gradual change, not all happening at once. They take the names they are given by the joint naming body; it's not the OS that decides what something will be called or how it will be spelled.
I guess Glenquoich has the lodge and historic estate and maybe the owners don't want it changed.
Nice photo.

Cheers Cerrertonia, that's interesting to know.
Has Donnie cut the day short after the first 3 ? He did sound a bit broken in his updates that _andy posted, and he's skirted round the east end of the South Glen Shiel ridge and gone straight to the van in the road in Glen Shiel.
If so, an easy day now will hopefully re-charge the batteries for the final 11-12 days, whilst still comfortable beating Spyke's record and setting an absolutely formidable time.

Yep, day cut short, sounds sensible. Update of FB :
" Day 22. 3 Munros; Sgurr a'Mhaoraich, Gleouraich, Spidean Mialach, Total 186 My Schedule and the fine Scottish summer weather finally beat me!! Decided to cut today short for a number or reasons. Feels like the right decision as it gives me time to try and get on top of my left ankle and recharge for the final big push towards Ben Hope "
