Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Thanks for organising today JJ Flash, it was good to meet up with other fetchies again and of course meet Mick n Phil once again.

I am really happy to be involved in anyway that I can be of use. I will try and come to the core group meetings but will find monthly meetings on Sundays difficult.

Mrs JJ had a good idea for getting the message out about the race. If we get an entry form made up as soon as possible with a link from these pages and then ask anyone running in local races to print out copies and distribute at races. We coud also do a email to as many running clubs as we can with a copy of the entry form and ask them to promote within their clubs.

I am also happy to help in writing to potential sponsors, just let me have the copy of any begging letter, a list of sponsors already approached and I will get onto it.

I know you must already have thought of it but Runners World & running fitness have the upcoming races section at the back.
I think I'm already on the yellow jacket list, I think either date is fine for me.

JJ Flash...I can offer you my services from July 27 until August 31. I am on school holidays then. I'll still have school work to do but I'll have a lot of free time to kill as well. I'm in the states from the 26th of July to the 12th of August, but can still do stuff from there if you need me to. (I'll tell my dad I'm phoning important people.)

Good job on the organisation!!!!!!!!!!!

Apologies to anyone I may have left off the "monthly core group" list (I was taking names, but not sure I remembered all the hands that were up).

jj - if you need a dogsbody to coordinate entries and stuff i will do it, i work part time and am hapy to sit in front of the computer and send out entry packs and stuff
oh and i will worry for you
i do that for the jw and i am very good at it

i agree with what others have said about keeping it simple
no chips or anything like that
we have managed to get the local sea scouts to man the water stations for us for the jw - they were really keen, they just kept saying yes - so might be worht thinking about for anyone who is local
it frees up other people for marshalling - which you don't really need for a circuit around a lake anyway - apart from for safety reasons

I have some time untl end of July, if you let me know what needs doing

Simple is probably best - if it works can always be improved/complicated/altered next time :)

ANother vote for asking Scouts/army cadets/etc - they are usually willing to help at stuff as it can count towards service badges etc for them
