May works with bacon too, as in bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayo. As for combinations and permutations, Fermat and Pascal will be more useful than old Albert..... |

Bread: loaf from my Mum's bread maker, sliced by someone competent. Butter: Lurpak or other proper butter (margarine can get in the bin). Don't skimp on it. Bacon: thick sliced, smoked, not streaky. Cooked so the fat is crispy but the bacon is still soft Sauce: none. Cut into squares, scarfed while still hot. |

Derby Tup wrote: Butter on a hot bacon or sausage sandwich? Why? Because, it protects the bread from going soggy from the steam coming off the hot meat. (Fnar fnar) This is a fact, by the way. |

White bread, butter, not-too-crispy, dry-cured back bacon, brown sauce.
