Running that is, though I went to the summit a couple of weeks ago

Climbing to the top's on my 'To do' list. The Mara is one I wish I'd done.....but after viewing the slippery, wet descent [see TV prog], maybe not!

Fizz :-)
Of three times I’ve done it, that’s the first time it’s been that bad, swittle. And it’s less than a mile of the race, and was actually quite good fun (in a grim sort of way!). Mind you, I haven’t seen the coverage yet.

It is very challenging heading down to Llanberis on tired legs I’ve seen a few that have had mishaps.
It’s a good walk up Switts , you must do it when you’re in better shape

The TV coverage shows some of the top 10 finishers sliding. With plenty of road on the course, trail shoes might not be wise just for that section, Fizz :-).
Yes, Dunc, I shall - but even walking up shallow sand banks is a challenge atm.

Hills of Death (HOD)
Watched this last night Callum was so relaxed I could see how his body language was better than Tom's. Interesting falls down the other side of Wanfaur

I'm quite glad I wasn't there as I hated that descent in the dry!! Great coverage as usual on S4C, I just wish I could understand the commentary!

The final descent is the most funnest part of the whole course. I made up about 30 places on that bit a few years ago.
It's not technical downhill - the worst bit was the steep bit of road as you come into Llanberis.
The flat run into the finish is interminable though. Glad it's only about 400m
