Hmmmm... Bakabana... some kind of fried/frittered plantain dish my Surinam takeaway had when I was a student. I have bananas, being snowed in I may well fritter them, for the sake of it

Mmm tattie fritters! Haven't had them in ages. My mum's were the best but that was back in the days when you deep fried in lard and just left it to solidify in the pan, to be melted for next time
