whoop whoop - my mojo returned today and I went to the gym for a dreadmill session - almost 3 miles clocked up :)

I was using the timer setting so didn't realise I was only 0.03 of a mile off 3 miles - I am not going to get carried away with the quick pace as in reality this wont happen but at least I am experiencing some consistent pace times - pyramids of 2/3/4/3/2 and then I added on some more minutes to clock up 30 mins in total

Well done WW!

Mizzy thats good news that you've signed up for the 10K and it will give you something to look forward to and train for. The feeling when you've crossed the finsh line is ace! :-)

Yes I agree TT2! Especially if it's downhill to the finish and you can do a finishing sprint!
Well done WW, takes a lot of willpower to get onto a dreadmill! Why not call it a breadmill instead, that reminds you of windmills and tulips or a nice warm fresh-baked bread smell!

I did my first training for 3 weeks tonight. It was hard and the coach pushed me harder than i would have liked, but probably need it in order to improve.

Off for a soak in the bath now...

Ive just just booked in another 10K, ive only got about a month of training before it aaahhh :-S

Morning all :-)

BT2 - I have the accidental event entering problem too ! Terrified that Ill have a complete brainstorm and accidentally enter a marathon!

I had a bit of a grump earlier and was fretting that I'm not trying hard enough to up my pace - this lovely thread has remiinded me that I may be slow but I am proud to be out there and lapping the folks on the couch.

1) Keep doing my leg exercises and add ankles to the plan
2) Cto5k/10k my way
3) Concentrate on 5k then 10k times
4) Try to get to +300 miles in a year (plus 1000 walking miles)
5) Arrive at the BH marathon start line fit and healthy, and have fun whilst covering the challenge

1) to start building some strength and flexibility work into my week
2) to get back in to walking every day for at least 30 mins
3) to shift some of the extra heft I've gained this year
