Just caught up with this thread, for those thinking of doing the ERN LP run on Sunday details are here. edinburghrunningnetwork.co.uk I'm down in Middlesborough for the day watching football so I won't be there but it looks like it will be good fun. Entries open until Friday. |

Hi all Hope you don't mind me barging in like this.. There are a couple of spaces left for the Melrose Hill Race 13.1km for this Sunday 28th August. One or two runners had to pull out with injuries. It's all on road, undulating with some good scenery. Medals and goody bags for the finishers, Buffet, tea/coffee and presentation in a hall after the race. No entry for this race but i would appreciate donations to give to a local charity instead. So if you think it was a rubbish event, don't pay a thing If anyone is definitely interested, please fmail me asap |

If anyone is interested in running up and around Arthurs Seat AND the change of being involved in a major running & arts Edinburgh Festival register your interest via this link http://www.fetcheveryone.com/viewtopic.php?id=46953. At the moment you would need to be available tomorrow evening (Thu 25th). The event itself will take place during next year's festival. The first trial was last night and those of us involved had a great time. I'm going back tomorrow for more |

In a drunken state recently I accepted a challenge to celebrate 2012 by running 20 5k's and 12 marathons. Having sobered up now I’m trying to see if I can actually manage it. The 20 5k's should be doable by attending various parkruns around Scotland but I'm looking for recommendations for some good marathons, ideally in Scotland/North England but happy to travel a bit further if required. Ideas so far (doesn’t necessarily need to be one each month) April Lochaber May Edinburgh August Northumberland Coastal October Loch Ness November Newcastle Town Moor Any other thoughts of some good ones to add? Anyone daft enough to want to join me is more than welcome. |

Got the new Scottish Marathons? Aberfeld, Strathearn? Other Scottish ones - Moray, Cape Wrath! There's a wee one down in England somewhere in April too?! Too close to Lochaber tho, probably. GOod luck, sounds like "fun"! :-)G |

TD, you have taken on a challenge there. Good Luck. In terms of Scottish Marathons, isn't there a new one in Strathearn next year, and also one in Dumfries?

TD, you're mad!! What about Kielder (March by North East Marathon Club, October the "official" one)? Do LDWA ones count? They seem to be doing some really nice ones - I can report back after the weekend. The North East Marathon Club also puts on its own events - Lisrun is the man to ask. |
