I guess that not everyone sees (or quite rightly doesn't care about!) Twitter or Facebook spats! G

3rd MV40 was running using a mate's number. Accepted the prize, posed for photos with RO, then posted pics and boasted about it on FB later that day. Cue on-line lynching from half of Scotland ..........

It was a guy who ran with a pal's number, then came 3rd overall (?) and got a category prize (V45?). Posed with Loon Dod for the picture, received the prize, then posted on Facebook what he'd done, tagging the person whose number he had taken and saying "Maybe not such a good idea"? Basically shamed himself, but rather embarrassed the race too, I'd say.
Loon Dod responded with a screen shot of the person's own post and named the guy and the one whose number he had used and said he'd be banned from D33 and as many other races as Dod could influence.
There then followed a couple hundred replies, mostly in complete support, but with the occasional "I don't see what the harm is" which resulted in some quite heated explanations about what the harm is!
I think in summary, most folk thought the guys who swapped were wrong to do so and particularly dumb to take the prize, and the photo and just plain stupid to then post on FB. But I think some people also thought it could have been handled a bit less publicly. More of a criticism of general FB spats, than of Dod or the D33 directly, I would say.
Don't know if anyone closer to it would agree with that summary? G
