First time I’ve done Gartmorn and first time I’ve ever done a trail race. Really enjoyed it and would def do it again!

Sounded quite hard though guys - straight uphill to the dam to start? Very windy day too. Well done! :-) G

Alloa Half entries close today apparently (I’d have assumed they closed weeks ago, as per the norm).

yes, they are taking it to the wire.. as is the Tom Scott 10. A pity these races clash now.

The wire? Both used to have entry on the day. Alloa sold out a couple of times but then entries were expanded massively (2400 to 3500 I think, may have been 1800 before the 2400). Some way short the top figure this year, maybe after last year's issues (last minute unavoidable cancellation and issues re rescheduling etc).

Had a day at Loch Katrine yesterday, highly changeable weather. Very windy at points. Not running, but still got soaked on a wander. Particularly wild for fifteen minutes before HM/10K, briefing even moved indoors. Then it magically cleared. Nice events, but with small fields maybe a bit odd as a race for those nearer the back, especially in the marathon?

HappyG it was an uphill start.

Princess you’ve ran a trail before; Plean Parkrun.

Dvorak, Loch Katrine used to be limited to 100 for each event. I’ve done the 10k and the half before.

I have erased Plean from memory 😂
I’ve never done Alloa before. Had a place last year and then never ran on the rescheduled date. Dad asked what we should do for mother’s day, I suggested mum comes and watches me run 13.1miles and then I’ll take her for some lunch. Anyone know anywhere in or near Alloa that’s good for eating?

Don’t know Alloa we’ll enough, but there’s plenty of choices if you nip over to Stirling or Bridge of Allan.
