Just a bit wet, wild and windy at Inverness half marathon today! Managed to avoid the snow until the drive back down and it was a white out for miles, looking forward to a hot shower and my jammies!

57.5 Degrees of Pain
I thought I had posted about the half. Can't see it on another thread either. On for the 'Senior Moments' thread!

Wet and windy as princesszee says, a day to finish quickly and get in the shower (facilities at the end are good if you beat the crowds). There was certainly some sleet on the course but the really nasty stuff (mostly sleet/ rain mix heading east) held off till maybe 4pm. Still only the second worst weather I've seen at Inverness, 2011 was worse!

Crathes is one of my closest parkruns Lesley C (and apparently my NNYD). But the journey is tricky, especially with winter back! I must run the D33 one day.

Any central belt fetchies up for a wee blast at CAAC5 and a trip to Wetherspoons (corstorphine) for eats again? Think it’s June time #superorganised

Looks like it’s 5th June. I’m not running it but will be there to cheer and for the post run refuel. Half price fajitas in the Torfin on a Wed night if we fancy a change of venue 😋🌯

Inverness was indeed interesting weather wise - and agree with 57DoP about it being one of the worst since 2011 - which was cheeky indeed.

Wasn't a day for hanging about afterwards.

Might CAAC, if my ego can take being last or thereaboots. (Don't flannel me, I've ran it afore!)

I'll just give a wee punt to my hyper-local trail race series, first one three weeks the morra. Starts with a 6K.

I'm unlikely to run - had considered it for this year but the course has been made even more gnarly :-o May have a recce but I'm not even sure I'll find the paths from the map!

Dvorak you are braver than me as every year I say “next year I’ll be fast enough” but this year isn’t the one for me. I’m better suited for cheering!
