57.5 Degrees of Pain
Kirkie race is a cracker. But as mentioned it is hilly and was challengingly icy last time I did it. A group of us ran together with a lot of verbal warnings and pointing to ice patches to keep us all safe.

OM, Kinloss to Lossiemouth half is in February, and Inverness half is in March, but I don't know if they are too far away from you.

57.5 Degrees of Pain
My two fastest halfs Nessie.
The former can get a lovely tailwind but might be lonely in some places. Inverness is overpriced but well organised and quick with lots of runners of all speeds and good support. Always seems to catch the bad weather mind!

Nessie, I’m in Fife currently but grew up in that area - Burghead, Lossiemouth, Elgin and then the Black Isle, so would love to do some runs up that way.

the plan: hazlehead/aberdeen double
the likely: oversleep and jump out of bed at 1024 like a scolded cat in an effort to belt down to the beach

Sounds like Kinloss to Lossie is perfect race for revisiting your old haunts (or getting views of them) old mum. You could pop in for a cup of tea with Old Croc too!

How hilly are we talking for Kirkintilloch? Looking for some races for marathon training but currently struggling to find what I’m looking for....
