Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I will also be squelching through the mire of Plean, for AD's 250th. Volunteering at Falkirk on Christmas Day. Helix juniors were very short on numbers for Sunday so might make it a double if they are not sorted (and have a play on the e-bikes :-) after if so).

I saw that zp - I ran most of that route a few weeks ago, and the path along the side of Loch Arklet ( from top of Inversnaid brae to Stronachlacher junction ) was closed due to a landslide - I ignored the signs and ran it anyway, was a bit rough and not obvious at one point. I would imagine the race should adhere to the signs but the map they've posted still has it following the path. I'd be very surprised if the path had been fully restored and re-opened.
Might be worth dropping them a note and seeing if they aware of the path closure.
The alternative is just to run up the road for those few miles, so the overall route is not really affected.
Have fun - it's a stunning route on a clear day

Aye, there'll no be much running up that one, as well as silly steep, it's also very rough and stony. I "ran" down it and that was difficult enough. But at the top, you then have a few miles down Windy Glen with hopefully the wind at your back :-)

Thanks Gus, that’s great info - I’ll drop them an email :)

Think I’ve only ever ran the bit alongside Loch Lomond so mostly all new to me. Fingers crossed for some clear skies.

Merry Christmas & Happy New G(rrr)
Lol, went to Dunfermline for Christmas Day parkrun with my sis, because we'd checked on the Compendium and it was our nearest (Lochore and Loch Leven not on). But I'd got it wrong. No probs, did it as a Freedom Run with my sis! :-) G
