I've added Lochore Meadows parkrun for Sat 19 May manually. If I've put location or anything else in wrongly feel free to edit or let me know if it's only something I can change. I put parkruns in to my Race Portfolio (it's not a race!!) because otherwise my parkrun count is different in parkrun.org.uk from fetcheveryone.com and that just messes with my OCD! G

Spotted a new race today for anyone at a loose end in three Saturdays time. And who likes to run uphill. Glencoe Mountain uphill race: 500m of ascent in a 5K. fetcheveryone.com/viewracedetails.php?id=2382515 Added my time to the Meedies, although these days I am only adding special parkruns. Then again, since I am running so few races these days, I might put in more to make it look as if I am still doing something. |

Nice, did you forget to add it to your race portfolio though? Would be tempted, but on Arran the following Saturday fetcheveryone.com/race-report-edit.php?id=2382517 running up *and* down |

The only bit I would manage would be the chairlift down ;-). Have fun on Arran! And ... have you noticed this one? 46/65km in Fife, in October, starting and finishing at the Meedies? fetcheveryone.com/viewracedetails.php?id=2347045 |

57.5 Degrees of Pain
If they had similar weather as I encountered staying at the Glencoe Ski Centre 3 weeks back, the chair down would be utterly miserable! I went and blasted up and down the Devil's Staircase that day instead, doubtless really annoying the West Highland Wayers trudging up with their packs in the rain. |

WHW Challenge (not the "real" race) this weekend, I think. Even though it started through a falling out with the WHW Race proper, I think it's actually quite a good addition to the calendar, as it has a totally different approach. You do it without a support crew (it has drop bags, feed/water stations and the race transports your kit to the end - and will transport you too, if you have to drop out). And the bit about being to go as slow as you like at the start might suit the older or slower "planning to walk from the start" folk. Not saying there's anything wrong with the WHW cut offs - it's just a different approach. What else is on this weekend? Is it the Skye Ultra? When is Stornoway half? Is that this weekend? Have a great time anyway, whatever folk are doing. Edinburgh (i.e. Musselburgh/East Lothian!) marathon for me. Eep! G |

Cheers Dvorak, that marathon looks tempting. Never been to Fife. Enjoy Edinburgh HappyG - hopefully not too hot! |

Castle of Mey 10k for me this weekend - looks like it will be a hot one for the third year running.
