We are there till Monday so unsure what other plans we have. I have never been to Stirling before so hope to see some of it.

The 246 steps up the Wallace Monument might prove tricky on Monday

Unfortunately working on Sunday or i'd have been out to watch given i'm less than 1/2m from the finish line. Best of luck to those running, i'll maybe catch the stragglers when i get home around 2pm!

Stirling has evidence of marathon prep now - we live near the finish in Kings Park and there's plenty of traffic signs/ cones/ random signs on lampposts and the fleet of hire vans appearing.
I'm aiming to jog round bits of the course on Sunday - probably around the city centre sections and may even venture to the posh suburbs of Fergus if I can remove my bike from the turbo.
There is a pop up stirling gin bar at the finish - I may just be found there!

I am driving in to Stirling to do the half. Is parking in the centre of Stirling (i.e. Thistle centre) advisable? Otherwise I was thinking of the area South of Kings park.

I'm doing the half with OH (MaltDrinker) and may possibly be wearing Fetch vest. We are heading down on the Saturday and staying over in the Youth Hostel.

Bear in mind that the Thistles car parks only open at 0900 and are over 2km from the start. Do not consider the Wellgreen NCP as it opens at 10 am (which is a pity as it would have been handy). There are a few spaces in a small car park across the road from Wellgreen which are free on Sundays. South of the King's Park would be good, as long as you can get in. That could be a couple of km from the start as well.
My tip would be arrive early and have plans A,B,C and D ready.

Thanks Dvorak. I don't mind a lengthy walk to the start but was more hoping for a shorter walk at the finish. I might even need plan E by the sound of it;)

The old high school in the Raploch is one of the car parks if I'm right? Would be close to start and only a mile if finish at the park?
Train station car park in town is £3.50/ day.
