Allanwater Cafe is some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Totally recommended. The only downside is you can’t book, or at least you never used to be able to (we were there last summer during Stirling Triathlon). To be fair, we never had to wait long.

I managed to completely forget about the race in Denny! Just as well I only meant to spectate, rather than run it. What a .
Half the course is paths I never usually use: too narrow, too gnarly. How did they work for the race, Ally?
(I was out on my bike as well, but went in the opposite direction. Though I'd probably have sailed past, just wondering why all those cars were parked :-p.)

I was fine, although a lassie face planted in front of me on lap one, talking to her at the finish, she did it again on lap two, she wasn't hurt😀

I think it's maybe already been mentioned, but India Gate in Dunblane is good for a curry. My post marathon much last year was in Corrieri's just at the Wallace Monument.

I think we are discounting a curry but anything else can be considered- I may well be sleeping by then anyway - or drunk

If you have a thirst, deep pockets, and want pizza, there's Brewdog.
If you are less fussy, and less well-off, Wetherspoons is right next door
If you are less fussy, ravening, and like Chinese, Jimmy Chung's is 50m downhill from both.
