The only downside is you can’t book, or at least you never used to be able to (we were there last summer during Stirling Triathlon). To be fair, we never had to wait long.

Half the course is paths I never usually use: too narrow, too gnarly. How did they work for the race, Ally? (I was out on my bike as well, but went in the opposite direction. Though I'd probably have sailed past, just wondering why all those cars were parked :-p.)
