So runners can be secure in the knowledge that they only risk wipeout by speeding instead of speeding car ;-). The roundabout at the top of Menstrie Brae will have a steady stream of runners for about seventy minutes (and a small amount of runners outside that). Slow cyclists to running pace to cross? Hmm.

Then they follow the runners until runners turn left at about 10.5 miles up the hill.

I thought perhaps starting the Tri later could work, but they'd be bottles/cups all over the road and the Tri would have to start really late to let the runners clear the top of the hill and get it all cleared away, besides all the University times have been booked
