I did the Paisley 10k more than ten years ago and there was folk starting near the front and walking within the first k then.

Union street mile and great Aberdeen run (half) for me :) though every run sucks just now. Sigh.

Yep, Killin 10k for me too :-)

In case either of you have done it in previous years, then a new start since last year. Now starts and finishes in the park. A slower course I feel, as the first 1/3rd of a mile is now slight uphill through the village, as opposed to down the main street.
The main loop out towards Bridge of Lochay, and then up and back Glen Lochay is the same, and finish the same.

I know the course extremely well from staggering home from the Salmon Lie, Killin Hotel and Coachouse. Not so well as a runner!

I am not really in shape to care about times anyway, with a recent cold and fragile Achilles. Also have to take time to look out for assorted landmarks where friends crashed their vehicles, including a wall my brother took out with my car!

Ally-C, I'll be in an Inverness vest, gold with a diagonal maroon stripe. I would hope to recognise K5 again!

Good to catch up with 57.5 DoP at the Killin 10k today. Great weather and a free pint of lager at the end :-)

Thought the Killin 10k was harder than I expected, quite hot too. Good race and nice scenery though. I had a free Coke; barely drink and was driving.

Never spotted that Inverness Harriers vest.

Tim was way up the front Ally, though we were stood just past the finish line chatting for quite a while at the end. He did have the Inverness vest on !
I'd looked at your profile but no photos of you in your gallery, so didn't know who to look out for. Hope to catch up another time.
