57.5 Degrees of Pain
That was quite a change in the weather overnight. Saturday I had a superb run over the Drumochter hills then a pleasant evening outside the pub in Killin. Sunday not so good!

Night trail races in Nov, Dec and Jan this year again, two in Aberfoyle, one in Callander. Carnethy website will have the details soon, I believe.
Cheap as chips last year, three races were £12 IIRC.

Scottish Half Marathon a week on Sunday - does anyone know how much of a discount you get as a Good For Age runner ?
I'm half considering a late entry, the normal price is now £37.50 plus £2.10 booking fee, which I find waaaaay too much for a Half. I do however qualify for Good for Age, which is says gives you a discount, but it doesn't seem to say how much. You have to send off proof, then they'll reply with a code you use at entry.
If it was a decent discount I may apply for the code, but if it's just a couple of quid I won't bother.
Anyone know what it is ? Ta

Does anyone think that Stirling may have been slightly long? No, I am not just going by my gps :-p. But the extra curve at Riverside added 120m (mapped it) and the turnaround point seems to have been the same. The start/finish was moved maybe 30m west (so that is 60m less) though the realignment of the exit from the start might add about 5m. About 60m further overall?
Unless of course it was short before :-o.

Last year garmin said 6.20, this year 6.22. I kept close to the centre line of Forthside way on the last mile when the signs said "runners keep left" .. so that trimmed a few metres off. Everyone else was doing the same.
