I should have checked, I usually do the 10k and I've entered that fairly last minute before so just assumed the HM was the same deal. Only other realistic option now is the Kirky race a week later.

That's a shame Ulric. :-( I entered about 3 weeks ago because I was surprised it was still open and was happy to get in.

57.5 Degrees of Pain
Kirky race is a good option Ulric, though the course is quite undulating. Sadly I will miss it for the first time.

Glasgow never actually sells out and up until maybe three years ago you could enter in person the day before. One year I entered at 1745 on Saturday (closing at 1800) and there were still people coming in. Pity it has been changed. (Although it does prevent me doing anything daft.)

I know all the country bits of the Kirky course from cycling. The section from the Lennoxtown junction to Torrance is particularly up and down.

And the section after Torrance is particularly up!

I cycled that area a lot as a kid, it seemed even hillier in those days!

A reminder for anyone, especially in the Central Belt, that the Denny 10K (previously known as the Strathcarron Hospice 10K is on tomorrow and has entry on the day.

Yes! On the day!

Reg from 0930, race start 1100, at the new(ish) Denny High School (just as you enter town from Falkirk). First year of chip timing.

Doing Linlithgow? Well I know a few runners are doing the double (Lithgae start 1415): make a day of it by running both with a visit to the Wheel or Kelpies inbetween :-).

(Or if you are really really keen, run between the two.)

Just a reminder, only a few days left before entries close for Kirkintilloch... there are also tons of pics from last year's race.

Last few days to enter (close Oct 4) for this year's race. Entries after tomorrow (Sept 30) cannot be guaranteed a t-shirt but will still get a chance to compete.
