I see a few Spring 2021 races being bumped to 2022. Balmoral Running Festival, yesterday. I've entered Loch Ness... Nice to have something in the diary - allbeit a long way off. Some motivation to try and start shifting the extra 5kg I've picked up.

I think the ones that are big, fund raising events, that need lots of lead time to organise are all off. But I think we need to change mindsets and find ways to organise new, smaller, local events.  G

Running dropped off after a bit of a calf strain.
Our own fault as we picked it back up on the trails, then overdid it. Doh.
On the upside, there is snow around

It would have been my club's 10k this Sunday, Brodie Castle on 1 Nov, am still gutted it not going ahead.
We are a club event (450 entries) but there is no way it could have gone ahead, not even sure about next spring's Benromach - due in May. Was organisers it every bit as hard to predict stuff.

Yes Croc, tough for clubs when it was main income for year. And of course as an even that brings people together. But more, smaller, local events instead? G

we were a small - medium club event - as is Benromach so we have also taken a kicking.
It feels weird - I should be at stress level 11/10 this week - now just nothing!

I'm thinking 50 - 90 participants, in waves of 15 at a time, no finish line gatherings, turn up in your kit, very low key sort of things. That's how the Lochore Trail 4 miler went and seemed to all go ok.

Hi Lorraine (waves!) - oh no, not me organising anything. This was the Reuse Recycle organiser from last week's Lochore Meadows trail race saying they would do a few more of them over coming weeks. In that format of v small, in waves etc. G
