Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hi everyone, my next race is the Speyside Way ultra. We're planning a trip to cheer folk on at Glen Ogle ultra, who's going to be there?

I believe _andy is doing Glen Ogle mrs s. Good luck at Speyside. Lovely to have an event to take part in. I bought a Speyside Way ultra buff off Kyle (as he was trying to get money in!) It's lovely. Purple and green tartan with the deer buckle logo. :-) G

Email from Bill this morning to say Glen Ogle now only 50% chance of going ahead. Scottish Athletics are saying

"Open endurance events for adults should not take place in any area with Scottish Government local measures or restrictions in place. These are to be cancelled or postponed until local restriction are lifted"
So unless restrictions change he'll have to cancel ☚ī¸

Is there any part of Scotland that isn't at least Tier 2? So isn't that *all* endurance events?

I should have added for clarity that go33 is a SA licenced event, other events that are not SA licenced obviously don't need to follow that, but nonetheless you have to wonder whether ROs might start to think whether it's being irresponsible encouraging folk to go against govt advice regarding travel into or out of areas with the higher restrictions .......

That sucks Gus. Like a lot of folk I trained for marathon that was cancelled close to the event, but I've a pal who was training for the same marathon, and then wanted to put the miles to good use so signed up for GO33 when Manchester's revised date went by the wayside.

She understands why it might get cancelled, but she's really not happy about the prospect. It would be a shame as she's put so much effort into it.
