Certainly in the Farcebook-sphere there's been lots of scrabbling around for races that *are* on and, like toilet rolls, people scrabbling for the remaining ones. Things like parkrun, with no limits, could go huge! G

Part of me wants them to be cancelled while I’m too injured to walk/run them- if I can’t, nobody should be able to
(I don’t really)

If the logic is not wasting police and medical time then surely cancelling spectator events like football should be a first. The movement of people and the number of police and first aid staff at football is huge.
Volunteer supported run events, like parkrun, should be the last to go.

'And surely 20,000 at a football match is worse than 1,000 at a running event?'
With respiratory virus's being more likely to infect you when you breathe them in deeply I wonder if running events are quite a comparatively risky pastime? And we are not at our most hygienic! I nearly copped a poorly aimed snot rocket last week at parkrun.

'parkrun HQ have said that if they need to cancel one as per government regs, they will cancel all in the region'
Not to the Scottish Ambassadors they haven't. Latest is they'll revisit it next week.
Cancelling all Scottish parkruns if one goes makes sense to stop people travelling to another event, rather less so in English regions which are contiguous. I'd say (purely as a personal opinion) that a complete shutdown is coming because other alternatives are fraught with unknowns.
