Audiences seem to prefer those with the greatest journeys - I don't think Jamie has become as technically proficient as some previous winners who were complete beginners.

I'm all in for Bill, but that's just because I hate EastEnders and Made in Chelsea, and I had to suffer HRVY live about 18 months ago with one of my kids. And I like Bill as a performer of comedy very much.
Dance ability has just about nothing to do with my ultimate vote!

My two-penn'orth is that the final should be about dancing. Bill has been a delightful surprise but Maisie and Harvey are better dancers. I hope Maisie wins. I had no idea who she was at the start because I don't watch 'Enders but she has proved herself to be a hard worker and she's grown on me. Just as it would be nice to have an 'oldie' win, it would also be nice for the youngest celeb to ever reach the final, win too.

I agree too LD - I think she seems rather a sweet girl - and she is so young. I am looking forward to the final - should be a good one.

If it's all about the dancing, then surely the winner should be the person who takes the highest score from the judges? (A lot of me would have a great deal of sympathy with that perspective, by the way!)
Maybe they should have a separate mini-award for the judges winner? Though at the end of the day, the winning or losing isn't really the point as it's pure entertainment anyway. I bet the professionals take more notice of the scoring winner etc though.

It's been interesting how much the celebrities have commented on how far their pros have got previously - it's easy to forget that side. I was surprised it was Karen's first final and actually am pleased for her.

I’m always a bit conflicted between likeability and dance ability, and the whole subjectivity of trying to compare a tango with a jive. Whatever happens will leave some people unhappy with the result.... At the end of the day it’s “just” an entertainment show (there isn’t a big enough market for a serious dance competition otherwise Come Dancing would still exist).

Good King Pothunter
The issue with the public voting on the dance ability is that very few of us have any idea about what a dance should look like. I can tell if the steps appear to be in time, and if the performance flows, but beyond that I’m clueless! What makes a good lift? Where should your hands/feet/hips/face be pointing? No idea at all!

Exactly Pothunter - hence the public votes on who sells it better .....
