Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Having spent far too much time browsing the net for a replacement running jacket having shrunk out my old Karrimor budget one, Im looking for something more substantial and fit for this dreary climate of ours. The only one I managed to settle on was the Salomon Fast Wing, but quite a few reviews say it has a nasty habit of accumulating sweat in abundance? Anyone out there who could offer an alternative they love or reply on would be greatly appreciated. Happy injury free running guys.

What's your requirements ? Can you expand on "fit for this dreary climate of ours"

Are you wanting something guaranteed 100% waterproof to cope with long day upland fell running, or something to cope with 5k in a urban light shower, or something in-between ?

What's your budget ?

I *think* I saw somewhere that (maybe) Blacks were flogging of OMM gear at a good discount ;-)

Ideally something that will keep me warm and dry on a longer run.

I wore mine for my Bob Graham - 23 hours 44 mins in the Lakes. I much prefer the stretchy knit fabric to a "hard shell"

Cheers Tup, appreciate the link. I'm svelte, but not that svelte lol. It looks like they are all xs sizes.

Ronhill Tempest get good reviews, half price for £75 at ratrace.com but only L or XL. Plenty other places doing it for £100.

Kamleika very good as DT says.
